Manufacturer of musical instruments. Its products included player organs, pianos, sheet music, records and phonographs. Founded in 1887, it was once the world's largest such firm. Products included the Pianola push-up piano player and subsequently pianola player pianos (with built-in player mechanism) and the Duo-Art system of reproducing pianos. It went out of business in 1985.


Artists who recorded reproducing piano rolls for the Aeolian Duo-Art system included Ignace Jan Paderewski, George Gershwin, Maurice Ravel, Teresa CarreƱo, Percy Grainger, Leopold Godowsky and Ferruccio Busoni.
